The side glass inserts open your hallway upwards, to the right, to the left or on both sides for additional light, the glazing corresponds to the glass in the entry door and usually offers privacy protection. Other security features are lever-out protection, which prevents the hinges from being tampered with, and a multi-point locking system that makes it much more difficult to "crack" the door compared to a simple lock. Measuring the wall opening for the front door is essentially similar for new buildings and renovations. Height and width are measured in two places and then the smaller nominal dimension is used. Subtract 10 mm from each side of the measurement to allow space for sealing. In new buildings, you must also take into account the planned floor structure.
