Configure nowNot to be confused with a traditional Georgian hung or sash window, the term “sash” in the sense of triple-sash windows is a technical term referring to the panels or operable part of a window that swings or tilts open and is attached to the frame.
As hinted at by their name, triple-sash, or three-part, products feature three sashes or panels.
Additionally, above or below these triple elements, our windows can come with upper or bottom fanlights placed at each part or rather running across all. Triple-sash windows, especially with fanlights, can make large dimensions structurally possible and let much light into interiors.
To suit different builds we can supply windows in a wide range of sizes. In our configurator you will find the minimum and maximum height and width ranges for the different options alongside interactive boxes where you can fill in your sizes.
For help with standard measuring, please also refer to our measuring guides or contact the team.
The size for each part of a triple-sash product can be individually determined, such as the proportion of the total window width that each sash should have (they can be different) as well as the height of a fanlight compared to that of the main sashes.
On the one hand, for customers looking to maximise security and where the interior already has a source of ventilation, all parts could be fixed and not open, for example.
On the other hand, to allow for nuanced airing and operation, our innovative German tilt and turn mechanism can be selected from some or all sashes, which can be operated separately of one another. When the handle is set to certain positions, this system allows the window to be swung fully in on side hinges for full airing or to rather be tilted ajar.
Central mullion bars can separate sashes when opened but there are also options for a so-called flying mullion, which means there will be no bar separating two of the three elements. This creates uninterrupted, wide views out. To browse all the possibilities, including fixed or tiltable additional fanlights, just head to the configurator today or contact the team.
Beyond the frame material, all of our windows and doors can be tailored further to adjust their functional and design properties to your needs; security and safety glazing, acoustic glass, insulated pane panels, a series of custom colour finishes, additional break-in protection, handles, glazing bars, sills, and more can be browsed and found in our configurator.
