The ALUPROF MB-77 combines functionality, design and security in one outstanding door system. A variety of customisation options make the aluminium lift and slide door the perfect fit for your home. It creates a harmonious connection with your terrace, balcony or garden.
The resistance class (RC) indicates the level of security your lift and slide door will provide. The ALUPROF MB-77 system can be rated up to RC2 N. This means that the ALUPROF MB lift and slide door can withstand external attacks from basic tools for at least three minutes. This makes class RC2 N a good choice for private homes, as the majority of opportunistic thieves will leave a property within this period of time if their attempts to break in are unsuccessful. The MB-77 also features six burglar-resistant hardware fittings as part of this resistance class.
Methods of thermal insulation are improving all the time, and insulation concepts for windows and doors are becoming increasingly important. You can find out more about insulation levels by looking at the heat transfer coefficient (a.k.a. the U-value). The MB-77 from ALUPROF has a frame construction with Uf-values starting from 1.4 W/(m²K). This is complemented by its Uw- value, which comes in at less than 1.1 W/(m²K) with the appropriate glazing. This overall value is not only of relevance with regards to various regulations and such legislation as the German Buildings Energy Act, but can also be of importance when applying for subsidies and allowances. In general, lower U-values indicate that an architectural feature has better thermal insulation and will let less heat escape when closed.
