The glazing can be divided in three distinct ways. Glass dividing bars are firmly connected to the frame, meaning that the glazing is inserted in multiple individual pieces.
Visually very similar is the glued-on variant of this concept.
Being attached to the outside of the pane with high-strength glue, they provide the advantage of allowing for the glass pane to not have to be inserted in multiple pieces.
The third option is the interior element.
These bars are mounted in the space between individual panes of lift-and-slide doors. Because of this, they are fully protected from environmental hazards and do not require special care or maintenance.
Each bar type for wooden sliding doors or windows has its distinct advantages. The selection of the perfect lift-and-slide door is all a matter of taste – unique choices for unique building owners. Choosing bar elements for a door is a decision for quality craftsmanship and aesthetic taste.
This style of window bar is also known as "real bars" as the bars genuinely separate the insulating glass panes. Each indvidual panel of bars is fitted with its own small pane of insulating glass. This type of window bar is available in the following sizes: 45 mm, 55 mm, 80 mm and 130 mm.
A "Vienna window bar" consists of specially integrated distance spacer profiles which have no actual contact to the surfaces of the glass. The window constructor then lays bars down onto the outside of the panes in order to create the impression of having insulating glass with real window bars, but also without any of the usual static load. These bars are available in the following sizes: 22 mm, 32 mm and 42 mm.
A "Helima window bar" is actually a powder-coated aluminium bar which has been fitted within the gap between the glass panes. It looks just like a real bar prepared by a craftsman. The powder coating is available in the colours Bronze C34 and C33 as well as in white. If you do opt for one of the bronze shades, then we also recommend that for wood window configurations you also choose the rain protection rail and the sash cover profil in the same colour. These bars are available in the following sizes: 18 mm, 26 mm and 45 mm.
