Uw-values for each Window Profile

The Uw-value is the measure of the overall insulation properties of the window, including all its components (e.g. glazing, frame etc.). The "U" indicates the insulation value and the following letter the component. Thus, "w" stands for window, "g" for glazing and "f" for frame. All values below are based on the standard German test window size, which is a single element 1,230 mm wide and 1,480 mm high. Smaller sized windows tend to have higher Uw values (i.e. worse) while larger windows generally have better values.

1) Windows with glazing with a thermal transmission coefficient of Ug < 1.9 W/m2K can always be given with the standard size of 1.23 m x 1.48 m. (German DIN EN 14351-1: Table E1, Footnote “d”).
2) Uw-Value < 1.0 W/m2K are quoted to 2 places of decimals according to DIN EN ISO 10077.
3) PHT: Passive house equivalent Uf-value <= 1.2 W/m2K and Uw-value <=0.8 W/m2K (where available, see labeling "PHT" in the table)
4) The PSI-value quoted does not correspond to E.1/E.2 table as per DIN EN ISO 10077-1:2006, but are examples of actual calculations based on the edge sealing system.
5) The Uw-values given in parenthesis have not been rounded up/down and are for informational purposes only.
